Creeping, crawling, sliding into my mind.
\nSlipping in with the thoughts of my life.
\nTaking over my desires and dreams of kind.
\nTurning the happiest memories into strife.<\/p>\n
Like a giant green and black parasite mouth.
\nLong teeth reaching and hungering for my soul.
\nLooming over and growing, doubling every month.
\nFeeding on me, my essence, my happiness bowl.<\/p>\n
It’s eaten my rosaries of happy memories now.
\nLingering on to snack on what’s left to bleed.
\nPressing down like lead and forcing me to bow.
\nTo aquiesce to its demands, it’s hunger and greed.<\/p>\n
And all the while the real me inside is aching.
\nWanting out to be free, to stretch and run.
\nTo get out and be what this lie is preventing.
\nEvery day hollowing me out, without a loved one.<\/p>\n
Someone to hug and cry on, the pain does build.
\nJust trying to be me, the me that is always hid.
\nIt doesn’t matter any more if I am very skilled.
\nJust for a taste, a chance to be from under this lid.<\/p>\n
Crushing and stifling the days do pass slowly.
\nTrying not to bother others, silent and still.
\nMy scramblings to become myself becoming lowly.
\nStrange twisted thoughts confining me to bastille.<\/p>\n
Struggling to be the woman I know I am inside.
\nCraving completion and a chance to be whole.
\nForced to pretend to be something I’m not outside.
\nI don’t want this life sinking into this hole.<\/p>\n
Take it from me and throw it away so kindly.
\nAs you please so long as people stop and think.
\nIf asking if you’re ok, don’t ask often so blindly.
\nGo away and stop asking today, leave me on the brink.<\/p>\n
I hate myself, my reflection, my picture, my image.
\nThe person I see is not the me that I am hidden away.
\nVery little semblance is that reflection of a visage.
